The jury of the VR Innovation Prize awarded BEC with the main prize 2017 for the development of a platform that allows the active control of robots by human movements.

The control platform has been developed by BEC over several years and is used in a wide range of applications and products. Even they are different they have one thing in common - human-robot interaction in real-time. Here, human signals are directly and highly dynamically integrated into the movement of robots. This enables, for example, the irradiation of moving tumors in cancer therapy or interactive flight maneuvers under real conditions in robotic flight simulators. For this exceptional platform, which can be used in various industries and sector, BEC is awarded with the VR-Innovations Prize 2017 of the Volksbanken und Raiffeisenbanken in Baden-Württemberg.
Dr. Roman Glaser, President of the Baden-Württembergische Genossenschaftsverband (BWGV), presented the EUR 20,000 prize, together with Minister of State Klaus Peter Murawski, at the VR Mittelstandstag on Wednesday 22 June in Baden-Baden.
